ThunderSharks Take Tight Tilt
|
The Honolulu ThunderSharks eked out a 2-1 win versus the Nashville Sounds at First Tennessee Park. Nobody did more than pitcher Richie Wahl. He was terrific. Wahl, the winner, moves to 8-6. He threw 5 innings of 3-hit ball, while fanning 4 and giving up 2 walks. With the win, Honolulu goes to 55-47, while the Sounds fall to 57-45.
Honolulu relied on the hitting of Ali Lima to pick up the win. The designated hitter ripped a run-scoring single in the top of the third inning to put the ThunderSharks on top, 2-0. For the game, Lima had 1 triple and 3 singles in 4 at-bats.
"Tough win," said Lima. "We had to earn it."
