Montgomery Makes It 10 Straight, Barely
Pitching was the name of the game in a tight contest between the Montgomery Biscuits and the Pensacola Blue Wahoos. Montgomery won it, 1-0, in 10 innings. Montgomery starter Leonard Unthank was in command. Bear Bridges picked up the win in relief. His record improves to 7-0. Michael Jansen suffered the loss. The first-place Biscuits have won 10 straight games.

The Biscuits got a clutch hit from designated hitter Jack Allred. In the bottom of the tenth, he delivered a run-scoring single to win the game for the Biscuits.

"Tough ballgame, tough loss," said Pensacola manager Mike Bankhead.
