The San Antonio Missions picked up a win at Nelson W. Wolff Municipal Stadium, knocking off the Frisco RoughRiders, 5-2. On the mound for San Antonio was left-hander Xavier Hazel. He played a key role in the triumph. The winner was Hazel. He threw 8.0 innings of 6-hit ball. The loser was Murray Torregrossa. San Antonio is now 50-55.

Derrick Mitchell dealt the RoughRiders a blow in the bottom of the fourth. Batting with the bases loaded and San Antonio leading 2-1, Mitchell hit a first pitch fastball for a run-scoring single.
