Blue Wahoos Handed 3-1 Loss by Frisco
|
Baseball fans saw a good contest between the Frisco RoughRiders and Pensacola Blue Wahoos.
The Frisco RoughRiders got a stellar effort from pitcher Aiden Maiers, helping Frisco score a win over the visiting Pensacola Blue Wahoos, 3-1. Maiers, now 6-4, was the winner. In 6 innings, he gave up 2 hits, while striking out 5, walking 2, and allowing no runs. The save went to Michael Gross, number 2 for him.
The RoughRiders prevailed in a game in which the pitchers had the upper hand.
"Whenever we hold the other team to one run," said RoughRiders manager John Dresher, "I like our chances."
The RoughRiders now have a record of 64-43 with the win over Pensacola.
