The Corpus Christi Hooks got a magnificent effort from pitcher Cameron Walker, who kept Montgomery hitters in check en route to a 1-0 Hooks win at Whataburger Field. The win for the Hooks lifted their record to 66-42.

The Hooks got a big at-bat from second baseman Leonardo Peralta. For the game, Peralta was 1-3 with a double. In the bottom of the second, with a runner on 2nd, he stroked a run-scoring double. His 10th double of the season gave Corpus Christi a 1-0 lead.

"Wins don't come easy," Peralta told the Corpus Christi Daily. "They don't just hand them out like lollipops."
