Victoria and Evansville duked it out and the HarbourCats came out victorious.

Victoria picked up a win at BB&T Stadium, bumping off the Evansville Triplets, 3-0. Pitcher Tom Neal was a major reason the HarbourCats emerged victorious. Neal got the win, improving to 7-8. He gave up 6 hits and walked 0 over 8 innings. He allowed no runs. Shane Hylton wrapped it up, recording his 2nd save.

Victoria used a clutch at-bat from James Weinkauf to capture the win. The third baseman hammered a 2-run home run in the top of the fourth inning to put the HarbourCats ahead, 2-0. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.

"Watch and learn," said Weinkauf. "This is what good pitching looks like."

The 8th-place HarbourCats improved to 45-62.
