Storm Chasers Suffer 3-0 Setback
In a low-scoring contest, Honolulu pitcher Mariano Wescott was marvelous, enabling his team to nab a 3-0 win. Wescott yielded no runs over 6 innings to notch the win. He scattered 5 hits, walked 1, and struck out 8. His record improves to 6-5. Honolulu, at 44-63, holds down last place in the Pacific Coast League Pacific Division.

The Storm Chasers had been locked in a 0-0 tie with the ThunderSharks going into the bottom of the fifth inning. That changed quickly when the 25-year old left fielder Lorenzo Figueroa came to the plate. Figueroa hit a 2-run home run on a 0-1 splitter from Omaha hurler Sanford Coley. It was Figueroa's 5th home run of the year.

"From pitch one to the last pitch, Mariano was aggressive," said Honolulu manager Neil Kuntz.
