The El Paso Chihuahuas defeated the Victoria HarbourCats, 8-5. Doing his part was third baseman Kaiden Murphree, who was 3-4 with a home run and a double, while scoring 2 and driving in 4. Zach Kerwick was the winner in relief. His record is now 5-4. The losing pitcher was Whizzer Raba. Todd Sutphin, summoned from the bullpen, notched his 7th save.

In the bottom of the eighth, the Chihuahuas grabbed the lead when Murphree hit his 6th double of the season. The 2-run double off Whizzer Raba made it 6-5, El Paso.

Murphree told a El Paso Daily News reporter that he was "very happy" with the win.

Today's win puts El Paso at 54-60, while Victoria falls to 51-63.
