Isotopes Lose, 5-4, in 12
|
The Tucson Sidewinders handed the Albuquerque Isotopes a 5-4 loss in 12 innings at Isotopes Park. Pat Ingram was the star on offense. He slugged 2 home runs. He drove in 4 runs and scored twice. Troy Rhodus was the winner in relief. His record is now 1-0. The losing pitcher was Finley Harper. Montague Farnham closed it out for Tucson, earning his 1st save.
Douglas Peckham came through with a big-time hit for Tucson. The center fielder smacked a solo home run in the top of the 12th inning to give his team the lead, 5-4. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.
"We just battled, never quit, and continued to grind out at-bats trying to create some opportunities," said Tucson manager Gil Mitchell.
The second-place Sidewinders now have a win-loss record of 65-52.
