Late Magic Gets Sacramento 5-2 Win
The New Orleans Baby Cakes got a sterling performance from pitcher Finlay Garrett, but the Sacramento River Cats still prevailed, 5-2. Garrett threw 5.2 innings of shutout ball. Aiden McVey, now 2-2, was credited with the win in 0.1 innings of relief. He allowed no runs on no hits, while striking out 0 and walking 0. Bernie Kiser earned his 26th save, after closing out the game.

Sacramento used the clutch hitting of Rolando Estorga to snag the win. The first baseman drilled a grand slam home run in the top of the ninth inning to put the River Cats ahead, 5-2. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a crucial one.

"I just tried to see the ball and put a good swing on it," said Estorga.

The 5th-place River Cats now have a win-loss record of 58-62.
