The Iowa Cubs used a great performance from 24-year old right-handed pitcher Liam Cramer to beat the Tacoma Rainiers, 3-1, at Principal Park. Cramer yielded 1 run over 6.1 innings to notch the win. He scattered 4 hits, walked 1, and struck out 6. His record improves to 3-5. Luke Trevino closed the game out for Iowa, earning his 26th save.
Johnny Lien contributed to the Iowa win with a solo home run in the bottom of the fourth. For the game, the catcher had 2 hits in 3 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 1 run scored, and 2 runs batted in.
