HarbourCats Need Extra Frames to Get Past Goldeyes
The Winnipeg Goldeyes could not turn a fine performance from center fielder Steven Higgins into a win. Instead, the Victoria HarbourCats prevailed, 10-8, in 10 innings. Higgins went 3-4 with a home run, a double, and a walk, while scoring 3 and driving in 2. Victoria reliever Jethro Ramos got the win, raising his record to 5-9. Vic Berg was tagged with the loss. The 5th-place HarbourCats improved to 60-63.

Victoria used the clutch hitting of E.J. Turner to capture the win. The center fielder drilled a run-scoring double in the top of the tenth inning to give the HarbourCats the lead, 9-8. For the game, Turner had 1 single and 1 double in 4 at-bats.

"This team is real focused right now," said Victoria manager Ricky Ugalde.
