Sanibel got a terrific performance from pitcher Brandon Payton, but it wasn't enough to beat the Fort Myers Flamingos. Fort Myers won the JetBlue Park contest, 5-1. Payton threw 8.0 innings of 5-hit ball for the losing team. Fort Myers is now 21-37.

Fort Myers got a knockout punch from Anthony Torres. The shortstop hammered a grand slam home run in the bottom of the 11th inning to win the game. It might've been his only hit, but it decided the outcome.

Said losing manager Nate Howlett: "Give the Flamingos credit. They played a better game than we did."
