Southwest University park was the site for Pacific Coast League action featuring the El Paso Chihuahuas and Inland Empire 66ers.

Billy Sholar was a major contributor to the 10-5 Inland Empire win over El Paso. The 66ers left fielder went 2 for 4 with a double and a walk, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2. Inland Empire pitcher Adam Mann earned the win, hiking his record to 8-2. Trent Tran suffered the loss.

Ryan Artiles had a big bases-clearing double for the 66ers in the top of the fourth inning. With Inland Empire leading 2-1 and the bases loaded, he got a sinker from 24-year old right-handed pitcher Trent Tran and swatted a double to right. It was his 5th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the 66ers ahead, 5-1.

"We hit the ball hard," said Inland Empire manager J.D. Fayson. "Line drive after line drive."

The 66ers saw their win-loss record go to 74-53. At the same time, the Chihuahuas fell to 53-74.
