Wranglers Use Late Rally to Win
|
Though he had a terrific game, Min-Sih Liu could not prevent his team, the Evansville Triplets, from absorbing a loss. Oklahoma City won the game, 3-2. Liu slugged 2 home runs. Igor Cobos closed out the game, earning his 25th save. The Wranglers raised their record to 56-71.
Had Sidell Bleecker not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the eighth, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and the bases loaded, Bleecker hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 3-2, in favor of the Wranglers.
"You have to win 1-0, 3-2, 2-1 games if you want to get to where you want to go," said Wranglers manager Jim Petit.
