River Cats Handed 3-1 Loss by Sounds
In a low-scoring contest between the Nashville Sounds and the Sacramento River Cats, 27-year old left-handed pitcher Vic Tate proved to be the difference. The Nashville left-hander earned props for his performance in the 3-1 Sounds win. Kirby Ruelas converted his 23rd save in 32 tries. At 59-71, the Sounds find themselves in 6th place in the Pacific Coast League American Divison.

Ofelio Delgado had a big 2-run triple for the Sounds in the bottom of the fourth inning. With Nashville leading 1-0 and runners on 2nd and 3rd, he got a fastball from 25-year old right-handed pitcher Brian Arrez and swatted a triple to right-center. It was his 1st triple of the season, and more importantly, it put the Sounds ahead, 3-0.

"I was able to miss barrels for the most part and the guys behind me made plays," said Tate.
