Fans saw a dandy of a game between the New Orleans Baby Cakes and Reno Aces.

The inspired effort of Reno catcher Rodrigo Morales was not enough to prevent a loss, 4-3, to the New Orleans Baby Cakes. Morales went 3 for 3 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk. Jordan Pineda picked up his 5th save of the season.

New Orleans third baseman C.J. Furgeson contributed a timely at-bat in the bottom of the sixth. With two down, he hit a fastball to center field for a run-scoring single. It was his 82nd hit of the season and put the Baby Cakes ahead, 4-2.

Said New Orleans manager Bobby Gomez: "At the end of the day, these guys have to perform between the lines, and I think they did."

New Orleans now sits at 62-71, while Reno falls to 71-62.
