Travelers Squeeze By Chattanooga, 4-3
|
The Arkansas Travelers topped the Chattanooga Scouts, 4-3, in Southern League action at Dickey-Stephens Park. The standout performance belonged to Arkansas pitcher and Crestline, Ohio, native Ronald Calandriello. Arkansas reliever T.J. Hollenback snagged the win, upping his record to 4-1. Daryl Lewis shouldered the loss. The Travelers move to 75-37 with the win, while the Scouts drop to 59-53.
The decisive blow was delivered by Randy Kennedy in the bottom of the ninth when he hit a 2-run double off 27-year old right-handed pitcher Daryl Lewis to win the game for Arkansas. The home crowd went nuts.
"This game was intense," Kennedy said, postgame.
