Biscuits Solve Scouts, 6-2
|
The Montgomery Biscuits picked up a win at Montgomery Riverwalk Stadium, defeating the Chattanooga Scouts, 6-2. Starting pitcher Clodoveo Castro was an essential part of his team's success. The Montgomery winning streak has reached 3 games.
Derek Meyer had a big run-scoring double for the Biscuits in the bottom of the third inning. With Montgomery leading 1-0 and a runner on 1st, he got a fastball from Max Mora, who is tied for 6th in the SL in wins with 11, and swatted a double to right-center. It was his 21st double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Biscuits ahead, 2-0.
"Clodoveo's good, period," said Montgomery manager Daniel Adkins.
