Biscuits Tuck Away 5-3 Win Over Mississippi
|
Montgomery left-hander Jordan Shannon pitched his team to victory over the Mississippi Braves at Montgomery Riverwalk Stadium. The final score was 5-3. Shannon, the winner, moves to 10-5. He threw 6.2 innings of 2-hit ball, while fanning 4 and giving up 3 walks. Gannon North finished to wrap up his 6th save.
In the top of the ninth, Augustin Molina stood in the box, looking for a pitch to hammer. The Braves were trailing 5-3, but had the bases loaded. That's when Gannon North made a terrific pitch and Molina struck out. Gone was the dream of a Mississippi comeback.
The Biscuits go to 69-54, putting them third in the Southern League Southeast Division.
