The Rocket City Trash Pandas beat the Northwest Arkansas Naturals, 4-2. Rocket City pitcher and Santiago, Dominican Republic, native Gabriel Hernández led the way. The winning pitcher was Hernández, now 11-5. He tossed 6.2 innings of 3-hit ball, while walking 2 and fanning 7. Ted Hill earned the save for Rocket City, his 9th of the year.

The Trash Pandas got a big at-bat from catcher Jace Walder. For the game, Walder went 1-4 with a home run. He drove in 4 runs and scored once. In the bottom of the third, with the bases loaded, he stroked a grand slam home run. His 15th home run of the season gave Rocket City a 4-0 lead.

"Gabriel pitched like a son-of-a-gun," said Rocket City manager Alex Salcedo.

At 62-64, the Trash Pandas claim 6th place in the Southern League Southeast Division.
