Northwest Arkansas Absorbs 8-1 Loss to Rocket City
|
The Rocket City Trash Pandas defeated the Northwest Arkansas Naturals, 8-1, in Southern League action at Hank Aaron Stadium. Rocket City pitcher David Aubin had a standout performance. The winner was Aubin. He threw 6.0 innings of 3-hit ball. The loser was Samuel Diamond. Morris Morris recorded the save for Rocket City, his 1st of the season.
Anto Dias had a big 2-run home run for the Trash Pandas in the bottom of the second inning. With Rocket City trailing 1-0 and a runner on 1st, he got a fastball from 22-year old right-handed pitcher Samuel Diamond and swatted a home run to right. It was his 8th home run of the season, and more importantly, it put the Trash Pandas ahead, 2-1.
"Not one of our better nights," said Northwest Arkansas skipper Shaun Brown.
The Naturals, now 21-106, have lost 4 straight.
