Northwest Arkansas Gets Riveting Walk-Off Win
|
Arvest Ballpark played host to some high drama.
The Biloxi Shuckers got a superb performance from pitcher Axel Aguirre, but the Northwest Arkansas Naturals still won the game, 4-3. Aguirre threw 8.0 innings of 7-hit ball. The triumph makes Northwest Arkansas 38-94.
Mark McCrery was the walk-off hero for Northwest Arkansas. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Naturals center fielder hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.
"It's great to see the crowd jacked up," McCrery said.
