The RockHounds grabbed a win, 4-3, at Security Bank Ballpark, overcoming a fine effort from Shreveport pitcher Nathan Tanner. Tanner went 6.1 innings and allowed 1 run. Tommy Huish got credit for the save for Midland. It was his 3rd of the year. The RockHounds go to 52-77 with the win.

Midland took a 4-3 lead on Zach Ward's 14th double of the season. The 2-run double, which Ward hit in the bottom of the seventh, left Shreveport pitcher Bud Lorenz visibly frustrated.

Midland manager T.J. Saddler commended his team for delivering "maximum effort."
