Northwest Arkansas took on Alexandria in front of a lively crowd.
The Northwest Arkansas Naturals locked up a win at Arvest Ballpark, knocking off the Alexandria Aces, 6-3. On the mound for Northwest Arkansas was left-hander Gilbert Guevara. He played a major role in the triumph. Gabe Nichols finished the game for Northwest Arkansas and earned his 2nd save.
Ezra Oyola took Alexandria hurler Holden Wesley deep in the bottom of the seventh. His 2-run home run put the Naturals on top, 5-3. In all, Oyola had 1 single in addition to the home run, while going 2 for 4.
"It's the best feeling when you come through for your teammates," said Oyola.
Northwest Arkansas currently is in 8th place in the Southern League Texas Division at 51-81.
