Getting a good performance from catcher Allen Pomeroy, the Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp defeated the Midland RockHounds, 7-4. Pomeroy went 3-4 with a home run and a double. He drove in 4 runs and scored once for the Jumbo Shrimp. Gabriel Ferreira nailed down his 3rd save. With the win, the Jumbo Shrimp have a record of 79-57.

Pomeroy had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the sixth. On a 0-1 curveball from Lyle Lindsay, he banged a grand slam home run to left, giving the Jumbo Shrimp a 6-4 lead. It was the 11th home run of the year for Pomeroy.

"Trying isn't good enough in this league," said Pomeroy. "You've got to get results."
