At Hammond Stadium, the Hialeah Gales and Gainesville Hogs were greeted by an enthusiastic crowd.

The Gainesville Hogs topped the Hialeah Gales, 6-3, at Hammond Stadium. Gainesville second baseman Edwin Henriquez was a spark plug for the offense. He was 2 for 4 with a home run and a walk. He scored 2 times. Tom Azaryan finished to wrap up his 7th save.

The Hogs got a big at-bat from center fielder Brock LaLanne. For the game, LaLanne went 1-3 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. In the bottom of the second, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 8th home run of the season gave Gainesville a 2-0 lead.

"We didn't play well enough to win," said Hialeah skipper Ramón Nazario.

Gainesville is 32-24 and Hialeah, with the loss, 29-27.
