The Hialeah Gales topped the Miramar Sun Dogs, 5-2, with youngster Declan Rigsby playing a key role. Rigsby went 3-4 with a home run and 2 singles, while scoring 2 times for the Gales in the win. Jethro Ohnemus, summoned from the bullpen, notched his 17th save. Hialeah is 4th in the Florida Rookie League Southeast Division with a record of 33-24.

The Gales got a big at-bat from first baseman Gabe Nolan. For the game, Nolan was 1 for 3 with a home run. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. In the top of the second, with a runner on 2nd, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 6th home run of the season gave Hialeah a 2-0 lead.
