The Fort Lauderdale Pirates, with some walk-off drama, delighted their fans at Florida Auto Exchange Stadium.

In a close game at Florida Auto Exchange Stadium, the Fort Lauderdale Pirates edged the Oviedo Catch, 5-4. Fort Lauderdale right fielder Ned Smeby stood apart with his performance. He was 3 for 5 with a home run and 2 singles. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Ross Ellerby picked up the win in relief for Fort Lauderdale, while Kane Lohr took the loss.

D.J. Iuliucci was the walk-off hero for Fort Lauderdale. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Pirates second baseman hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.

"Exhilarating win," said Iuliucci.

Fort Lauderdale raised its record to 36-24 with the win.
