In a tension-filled contest between the Pembroke Pines Herons and the Key Largo Fighting Shrimp, pitcher Paul Savinsky was superb. The Pembroke Pines left-hander, who is tied for 2nd in the FLA with a 0.74 WHIP, spearheaded his team's 1-0 win. Pembroke Pines now sits at 39-23, while Key Largo falls to 30-32.

Pembroke Pines used a well-timed hit by Oliver Cashdollar to capture the win. The designated hitter socked a run-scoring double in the top of the sixth inning to put the Herons ahead, 1-0. Though it was his only hit in 4 at-bats, it was important.

"My job is to throw quality pitches, go as deep as I can, and give us an opportunity," said Savinsky.
