The Fort Myers Flamingos rode a solid performance from 19-year-old starting pitcher Dasiel Terrero to a win, beating the Hialeah Gales, 6-1, at JetBlue Park. Terrero yielded no runs over 6 innings to notch the win. He scattered 3 hits, walked 2, and struck out 7. His record improves to 2-7. The 7th-place Gales dropped to 25-34.

Fort Myers took a 6-1 lead on Benicio Tello's 2nd home run of the season. The 3-run home run, which Tello hit in the bottom of the seventh, left Hialeah pitcher Stuart Merriweather visibly frustrated.

"Dasiel was dictating to their hitters," said Fort Myers manager Benjamino Parez.
