Spoonbills Handle Herons, Grab 3-1 Win

Hollywood Spoonbills starter Easton Ronan turned in a top-notch performance against the Pembroke Pines Herons at Charlotte Sports Park. The result was a win for the Spoonbills, 3-1. Ronan picked up the win for Hollywood, going 6 innings. He gave up no runs on 4 hits. He now sports a record of 5-2. With the win, Hollywood goes to 36-29, while the Herons fall to 40-25.
Sterling Gillion had a direct impact on the outcome. Gillion contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the first inning to put Hollywood up, 1-0.
"Easton approached every single pitch he made with total conviction," said Hollywood manager Gary Tucker.
