The Sanibel Sailors powered past the Hialeah Gales, 9-1, at Sailors Ballpark. Larry Cline provided some of the pop. He slugged 2 home runs, while scoring 3 times and driving in 5. Postiga Sánchez, the winner, improved to 5-2. He held Hialeah to no runs on 5 hits over 6 innings, while racking up 8 strikeouts. The Sailors sport a record of 45-21.

With Sanibel leading 4-0 in the bottom of the fourth, Cline came up to bat against Hialeah pitcher Kent DeBoard. Cline hit a sinker to right for a grand slam home run. His 8th home run of the season put the Sailors on top, 8-0.
