The Sanibel Sailors picked up a win at Indians Developmental Complex, knocking off the Boca Raton Buccaneers, 5-3. On the mound for Sanibel was right-hander Leif Drinnon. He played a key role in the triumph. The Buccaneers, at 33-34, have lost 4 straight games.

Sanibel used the timely hitting of Peter Cossart to seize the win. The designated hitter stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the eighth inning to put the Sailors on top, 5-3. It was his only hit in 2 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"We're in the driver's seat," said Cossart. "I like our chances."
