Fans watched the Boca Raton Buccaneers and the Sanibel Sailors fight to the finish.

The Boca Raton Buccaneers outlasted Davis Ocampo and the Sanibel Sailors, 9-8. Ocampo was impressive in the loss. The Sanibel designated hitter went 3 for 4 with a home run, a double, and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 3. Boca Raton is in third place in the Florida Rookie League Southeast Division with a record of 37-31.

Pete Howell broke a 6-6 tie in the bottom of the fifth with a run-scoring ground out. It put the Buccaneers in front, 7-6. For the game, Howell went 1-2.

"It was offense that won us the game," said winning manager Juan Pablo Sánchez.
