Walker Blasts Buccaneers, Hammerheads Take Game 3, 4-1
|
The Cape Coral Hammerheads moved to within one game of the Divisional Series, downing the visiting Boca Raton Buccaneers at Joker Marchant Stadium by a score of 4-1. Hammerheads right fielder Pablo Walker did some major damage. He belted 2 home runs. He scored 3 times and drove in 2. The win gives the Hammerheads a 2-1 advantage in the best-of-5 Wild Card Series.
Aaron Stonis contributed a productive at-bat in the bottom of the fourth. With runners on 1st and 2nd, he reached on an error by the SS, driving in 1 run. His at-bat helped Cape Coral get the win.
"No disrespect to the other team," said Cape Coral manager Senino Reyes. "But it's nice to get an easy win."
The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Joker Marchant Stadium in Cape Coral.
