Tucson Win to Pull Even With Sacramento
The Tucson Sidewinders and the Sacramento River Cats will take the Wild Card Series to a decisive 7th game. In a must-win situation, the Sidewinders beat the River Cats, 3-2, at River Cats Ballpark to force the series into what will essentially be a one-game playoff. Tucson right-hander Jayson Sproull had a big role in the win. He threw 5.1 innings of 4-hit ball.

Who knows how it might've ended, had it not been for Del Dawson? The Tucson right fielder had a 2-run double in the top of the first inning to put the Sidewinders on top, 2-0. For the game, Dawson had 1 double and 1 single in 4 at-bats.

"Every loss stings," said Sacramento manager Boone Broyles. "This one is no exception."

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at River Cats Ballpark in Sacramento.
