Divisional Series Game 1 Goes to State College, Thanks to Herron
The State College Spikes started the Divisional Series in dominant fashion, blowing out the visiting Hamilton Red Wings at Bowman Field by a score of 10-3 and securing an early 1-0 lead in the best-of-7 series. Spikes second baseman Jerrard Herron had a standout performance. He was 4-5 with a double and 3 singles, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once.

Salvador Burbano helped out the State College cause in the bottom of the second inning with a run-scoring walk. For the game, the right fielder went 1 for 4 with 2 walks.

"It's nice to deliver when your team's counting on you," said Burbano.

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Bowman Field in Williamsport.
