5-0 Jumbo Shrimp Win Evens Series With Biscuits
The Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp knotted up the Wild Card Series at Montgomery Riverwalk Stadium, thanks in large part to starter Peyton Thomas. Thomas quieted the Montgomery Biscuits, enabling Jacksonville to grab the 5-0 win and move into a 1-1 tie in the best-of-7 series.

The Biscuits had trouble solving Thomas, who surrendered no runs on 4 hits over 7 innings.

"It takes a lot of things to win a ballgame," said Jacksonville manager Brady Reece. "It's usually not just one thing."

Game 3 is scheduled for Monday at Baseball Grounds of Jacksonville in Jacksonville.
