The Wichita Pilots nearly wasted a strong game from starter Brandon Martin, but were saved by some timely hitting in a 10th inning walk-off win over the Akron RubberDucks today.

Martin pitched well in the 4-3 win at Regions Field. He threw 5.2 innings of 4-hit ball. The win allowed Wichita to seize a 3-2 lead in the best-of-7 Divisional Series.

With the game on the line, Keyon Stark came to bat in the bottom of the tenth. And the Wichita center fielder came through, cracking a run-scoring single off Nolan Mojica, the Akron pitcher.

"The effort we put into this one paid off," Martin said.

The next game is set to be played for Monday, October 1st , 2068 at Canal Park in Akron.
