4-2 66ers Win Evens Series With Bisons
|
The Inland Empire 66ers defeated the Buffalo Bisons, 4-2, in Game 4 of the AAA Championship Series. Making an impact was catcher Nick Stevens, who went 2-3 with a double and was hit by a pitch, while scoring 2. The win moves Inland Empire into a 2-2 tie with Buffalo in the series.
Amos Phillips had a direct impact on the outcome. Phillips contributed a run-scoring walk in the top of the fourth inning to put Inland Empire up, 2-1.
"At the end of the day, it's always about your starting pitcher," said Inland Empire skipper J.D. Fayson.
The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Coca-Cola Field in Buffalo.
