Quintana Roo picked up a win at The Roo Zoo, toppling the Chihuahua Aztecs, 4-1. Pitcher Charlie Beseda was one of the reasons the Kangas triumphed. Beseda, now 2-2, was the winner. In 8 innings, he gave up 6 hits, while striking out 4, walking 0, and allowing 1 run. The win elevated the Kangas to 55-41.
The Kangas got a big at-bat from first baseman Yadier Roque. For the game, Roque went 3-4 with a home run and a triple, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the fourth, with runners on 1st and 3rd, he stroked a 2-run triple. His 5th triple of the season gave Quintana Roo a 2-0 lead.
"We had a good game plan," Beseda said, "and we were able to execute it."
