Bighorns Curb Crabs, 2-0
|
In a tight game between the Providence Crabs and the Lincoln Bighorns, nobody was more important for the winners than Ian Thompson. Thompson was masterful in the 2-0 win. The win went to Willard Thomas in relief. His record improves to 2-1. Ronald Sweitzer took the loss. Lincoln has now won 3 in a row.
In the top of the fifth of a scoreless game, Thompson hit a solo home run to put his team ahead.
"It's still just a game," said Thompson, "whether you win or lose."
