The Somerset Patriots got a good effort from starter Charles McBee in defeating the Halifax Frigates at MGM Park. The final score was 6-2. McBee yielded 2 runs over 5.1 innings to notch the win. He scattered 6 hits, walked 0, and struck out 5. His record improves to 2-2. Anardo Mejia notched his 6th save of the season.
Who knows how it might've ended, had it not been for Mason Marston? The Somerset shortstop had a 2-run double in the top of the first inning to put the Patriots on top, 2-0. For the game, Marston had 1 double and 1 single in 5 at-bats.
