The Lancaster Barnstormers turned back the Altoona Curve, 6-5, at People's Natural Gas Field. Martin Arias, in particular, had a fine performance. He went 4 for 5 with 4 singles and a walk, while scoring 2. Cole Wagner earned save number 3 this season. With the win, Lancaster goes to 12-18, while the Curve fall to 10-20.
Stanley Bourgeois had a productive at-bat for the Barnstormers with one out in the top of the ninth. With a runner on 2nd, the right fielder hit a run-scoring single. The at-bat was important in the Lancaster win.
"I'm just trying to make good contact," said Arias, "one at-bat at a time."
