Losing Streak Continues for Patriots with 4-1 Loss to Pilots
|
The Somerset Patriots and Wichita Pilots left the fans buzzing.
Xavier Roy, who is tied for 10th in the EL in wins with 3, imposed his will on the Patriots from the get-go. Relying mainly on his changeup, the right-hander spearheaded the 4-1 Wichita triumph. Wichita has now won 4 straight.
Sabas Florez, the Wichita third baseman, contributed a run-scoring single in the bottom of the fifth inning to make the score 1-0, Pilots. For the game, Florez went 2 for 4 with a double, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once.
"No one likes losing," said Somerset manager Alex Chavez. "We've hit a tough patch, but we're going to get through it."
