Curve Wrest Win from Dark Knights, 6-4
The Curve earned a hard-fought, 6-4 win in 10 innings at People's Natural Gas Field. To do so required withstanding a fine effort from Yonkers pitcher Mikey Mauldin. Mauldin went 5.1 innings and allowed 1 run. Altoona reliever Tucker Shin was the winner. His record is now 4-1. The losing pitcher was Cesar Almanzar. The Curve improved their record to 20-14 with the win over Yonkers.

The decisive blow was delivered by Conan Bonilla in the bottom of the tenth when he hit a 3-run home run off 26-year old left-handed pitcher Cesar Almanzar to win the game for Altoona. The home crowd went nuts.

"Win or lose, we always try to grind it out and stay even-keeled," Bonilla said in reaction to the win.
