Armijo has 3 hits tonight as Rumble Ponies Squeeze Past Portland
The Binghamton Rumble Ponies beat the Portland Sea Dogs, 12-11, at NYSEG Stadium. Binghamton catcher Manuel Armijo had an outstanding performance. He was 3-4 with a home run and 2 doubles, while adding 5 RBI and scoring once. Mal Autry, 2-0, earned the win in relief. He allowed 2 runs on 3 hits in 2.2 innings. Mike Worthy earned the save, his 2nd, for the Rumble Ponies.

In the bottom of the first, Rafael Solis delivered a clutch hit. With two gone and the bases loaded, the Binghamton shortstop hit a 2-run single, putting the Rumble Ponies in front, 12-11.

"It was one of those games where both teams were swinging the bat well," Solis said.

The win for the Rumble Ponies lifted their record to 20-14.
