Not everyone stuck through the 31-minute rain delay, but those who did went home happy.

The Akron RubberDucks beat the Yonkers Dark Knights, 17-2, at Canal Park. Marc Zamora, in particular, was impressive. He hit 2 home runs. He scored 4 times and drove in 6. The winning pitcher was Nolan Bush. He's now 3-1. He went 5.1 innings, allowing 1 run on 4 hits for the RubberDucks.

With Akron leading 2-0 in the bottom of the second, Zamora hit a fastball from Benjamino Andrade for a 2-run home run. It was his 9th home run of the season and put the RubberDucks ahead, 4-0.

"They beat us like the proverbial rented mule," said losing manager Vince Hendrix.

Akron, at 21-14, occupies first place in the Eastern League Southwest Division.
