The Halifax Frigates knocked off the Bowie Baysox, 7-2, at Prince George's Stadium. Luke Forsyth was a big reason Halifax won. The right fielder went 3 for 5 with a home run and 2 doubles. He scored 2 times and drove in 3. Inocente Ximenez, credited with the win, is now 1-3. He allowed 2 runs on 2 hits. Halifax, with the win, is 11-25.
Crescencio García, the 23-year old left fielder , had a direct impact on the outcome. García contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the fourth inning to put Halifax up, 1-0.
In comments to the Halifax Herald, García insisted that he's not as disinterested as it often appears. "Haters will hate," he added.
